Anniversary Session at Kings Mountain State Park | Greenville, SC Photographer

There’s something incredibly special about choosing to document your love after the wedding day — not just in the big milestones, but in the quiet, in-between seasons of life. This anniversary session at Kings Mountain State Park was the perfect example of that.

As a Greenville, South Carolina photographer, I always encourage couples to keep telling their story — and celebrating two years of marriage with a golden hour session? It doesn’t get much sweeter than that.

Celebrating Two Years of Marriage

This session was all about intention.

Instead of letting another year pass by, Tyler and Julie wanted to pause and remember what this season of their lives feels like — the laughter, the growth, and the comfort they’ve built together over the past two years of marriage.

Anniversary sessions are such a meaningful way to reflect, reconnect, and create new memories together — without the timeline or pressure of a wedding day.

Golden Hour Magic in November

We met on a unusually warm November evening at Kings Mountain State Park, just as the sun began to dip lower in the sky.

Golden hour in late fall is always my favorite — softer light, earthy tones, and that peaceful stillness that settles in before winter arrives. The park gave us the perfect backdrop, with open fields, winding paths, and hints of the season changing all around us.

We spent the evening exploring, finding the prettiest spots throughout the park.

Playful, Joyful, and Full of Laughter

From the very beginning, Tyler and Julie brought so much energy and joy into their session.

They were playful, constantly laughing, and completely at ease with each other — the kind of connection that makes photographing couples feel effortless. There was no pressure to “pose perfectly” — just space to be themselves.

Those are always the moments that matter most and make the photos mean something more.

Sweet, Romantic, and Real

In between the laughter were the quiet moments — soft smiles, forehead touches, and the kind of closeness that only comes from doing life side by side.

The session naturally flowed between playful and romantic, capturing the full picture of Tyler and Julie’s relationship. It felt genuine, relaxed, and full of meaning — exactly what an anniversary session should be.

Ending with a Fun Twist 🎄

To wrap up the evening, Tyler and Julie wanted to do something a little unexpected — a silly “Christmas card” photo.

It was the perfect ending. All three of us couldn’t stop laughing.

After such a heartfelt and romantic session, this moment brought everything full circle: their personalities, their sense of humor, and the joy they share in even the smallest things.
